Website Evaluation

I chose http://www.education-world.com/ for my evaluation piece. This is a wonderful website with tons of valuable information. This website consists of lesson plans K-12, professional development, technology integration, school issues and much, much more. This site is easily navigable, loads quickly and is extremely helpful . My purpose in viewing this site was to learn more about technology integration. The technology integration section offers technology lesson plans, professional development, featured articles, tech-tip of the week, positives of using technology in the classroom, teacher templates, technology planning tools, learning games K-12, internet safety, assessment, administrator's role in technology, the list goes on and on. My personal favorite was the "techtorials." This is anything and everything you want to know from computer basics/navigation, computer maintenance/trouble shooting, a how-to guide for just about anything you want or need to learn . If I had to name a negative, it would be that there was not interactive question capability, at least I never saw any. I feel that is website is not only a great resource for me, but for other educators as well. There is so much to learn about technology. And it is changing everyday. We must make sure that our students are prepared. This website will be a valuable tool for educators and for their students'21st century progress.
